IMPORTANT CITIZENS` ROLE IN THE MUNICIPALITY 01.03.2010. The presidents of Citizens` Council discussed current issues of citizens` life in Palilula parts, communal police formation and tasks, the local offices` role and way of work. It was agreed that this kind of activity takes place once a month with regular information about their results and citizens` suggestions. |

KRUSCE VILLAGE IN ORGANIZED GARBAGE OUTFREIGHT PROGRAMME 02.03.2010. Good cooperation of Municipality and Sector `Cleanness` Krusce village, Palilula, is also included in organized garbage outfreight of `Mediana` Public Enteprise in rural area of the City of Nis. On this occasion, Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Palilula Assembly and Municipal councilors Boban Mikic and Milos Stojkovic, including Slavoljub Savic, associate of head of Municipal administration, visited this village with the representatives of Sector `Cleanness` and Citizens` Council of Krusce village. This visit marked the beginning of the action. |
On the occasion of "fascist slogans," in the area of the memorial park "Bubanj" and continuing the second phase of activity, "Clearing the terrain of Bubanj resort" including cultural and historical heritage preservation actions in 2010, Prof. dr Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, held press conference in this memorial complex. "The frequent target of vandals are monuments, tombstones and our residential and business objects. Graffiti with messages that promote racial hatred and incite racial discrimination, where the Nazis executed thousands of patriots, and the destruction of social structures, are only for mass public conviction. Just take a look at this amphitheater, which was reconstructed back for months and prepared for summer cultural events, now is completely demolished. Concrete seats are almost all broken. Enormous damage has been made here. We have strongly reacted on this matter`-president Novakovic said. 
Towards coming Easter holidays in Palilula Municipality two health facilities were opened. First, the work of Health Center Delijski Vis was promoted and then opened new Health center station in Ledena Stena. "It will definitely improve the level of health services in our municipality`-emphasized president Prof.dr Igor Novakovic. `New health stations are well equipped and can provide the best service, so the inhabitants of these villages do not have to go to the central building of Nis Health Center. In this way` - reminded the president Novakovic, in concrete way, `decentralization of primary care has been realized in all parts of our city.` 
In hall-gallery of Nis Cultural Center - NKC, on Tuesday 30 March - 12 00 hours, the exhibition of artistic photos of Chinese artist Ouiang Weihong `Dream` will be opened. The photos appeared during the following of one of the biggest world structuring attempts – building of biggest hydropower station on the Yangtze river in China – three gorges of the project (triangle Xiling Gorge Sandouping, Yichang Hubei Province). This exhibition appeared within the Programme of international cultural cooperation Serbia-China, under the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality in Nis and Nis Cultural Center and in organization of Association of Chinese – Serbian friendship `Chinese Wall` and Association of Chinese businessmen of South Serbia with Chinese Embassy in Belgrade. 
On Saturday March 27 2010 at 20:30 hours - local time turn off the light for 60 minutes-join the global campaign to save our planet! Let us show that together we can make progress in the fight against climate change-save energy. Planetary invitation sent within the "One hour for our planet", organized by WWF - World Fund for Nature will also this year bring together hundreds of millions of people from more than 120 countries. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon, described this action as the greatest global public demonstration about climate change ever. "Earth Hour" is the world's most massive expression of positive energy, a planetary phenomenon that has united people of all nations and religions with a clear aim - to unite in the struggle in preserving our planet. 
Residents of Delijski Vis, Palilula, got fully equipped Health center. In newly opened Health Center, apart from general practitioner, a pediatrician will also provide health services. The laboratory department, infusion center, counseling and pharmacy are also opened in this building. New concept of opening clinics and health stations in Nis, according to the Mayor of the City of Niš Mr. Milos Simonovic, was established at the end of 2008 and functions excellent. This confirms the fact that in a very short period of time five clinics were opened - said the mayor, and citizens in one place can get full medical assistance very close to their homes. Simonovic announced the opening of three new clinics and health stations in Ledena Stena, Branko Bjegovic and Brzi Brod settlements.
On the occasion of successful cooperation with Palilula Municipality and FC "Car Konstantin", especially in the development and promotion of youth sports, a reception in Municipal building was organized for school representatives.During this event, Prof Dr Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality and Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council, gave 20 sets of adequate football trainer suits – Municipal presents in support of their work. This meeting of Palilula Municipal authorities with little FC players of "Car Konstantin" was also used for the announcement of the participation of sports teams, as well as representatives of Serbia, the international football tournament in Larissa, Greece. 
With support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Serbia, the representatives of 38 local governments and the director of USAID Economic Security program Michael Pillsbury signed a Memorandum on understanding, at a ceremony held in Belgrade, called "Ready for future challenges"`. This document, as organizers have emphasized during this meeting, create the conditions for strengthening the Youth Office in the area of youth entrepreneurship and facilitate the implementation of programs for the development of entrepreneurship at the local level. The signing was also attended by Minister of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia Snezana Samardzic Markovic and ambassador of United States in Serbia Mary Warlick. 
Within the Program of activities of residential blocks greenery and resolving the requests of Palilula citizens, the activity of sanitary cutting of dry or diseased trees, decayed at roots, which are prone to fall and endanger the security of citizens. Municipal Administration intensively works on the development of the projects for preparing the ground for spring planting of new trees. With the action of "sustainable development" - World Day of Forests in Palilula Municipality was celebrated.
Councilors of Palilula Assembly, summoned by Milan Djurdjevic, President of Palilula Assembly, participated in the work of 14th Municipal Assembly, which continued its activities in 2010. At this meeting, which was held in the Hall of Nis Cultural Center - NKC, after the adoption of the Minutes of 13th Assembly session, which was held late last year, the plans of detailed urban plans (PDR) of Memorial Park Military Cemetery in Delijska Vis, Njegoševa street, `Aleksandar Petrovic` street and "Vidovdan` street; as well as a part of the settlement Pasi Poljana were discussed. The answers to councilors` questions followed, as well as the councilors` initiatives.
